Amelia S Bowen, 75, of Greenville, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. She was born to Juan Pena and Agustina Sustaita on April 18, 1946, in Edinburg, Texas. Amelia worked for 22 years for the City of Greenville and was enjoying her retirement. She loved to spend time with friends and family. Anyone who knew her, knew she was a wonderful cook, and she enjoyed watching people eat her culinary creations. She will be immensely missed by all who knew her. Amelia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law John & Wende Bowen, daughter Martha Hoover, and grandchildren John, Sierra, Austin, and Hannah. She is also survived by brothers Jesus Pena, Juventino Pena, and Cande Pena; and sisters Santos Capetillo, Janie Gillespie, and Catalina Ramos. She is preceded in death by her parents. A visitation will take place at the Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, TX, on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 6-8:00 PM. A service will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 10:30 AM will lead by Dr. Russell Rogers.
