Antonio Rioz – Murillo passed away peacefully at home on October 19, 2020 in Greenville, TX at the age of 64. Antonio is survived by his mother, Maria Luisa Murillo, his significant other Rosalba Cabrales, his children Rosario & wife Margaret Rios, Jose & wife Elisa Rios, Gloria Rios & husband Daniel Ibarra, Francisco & wife Christian Rioz and Antonio Jr & wife Ariana Rioz, his siblings, Carmen Rios, Jesus Rios, Martin Rioz, Leonardo Rios, Josefina Murillo, Lydia Murillo and Luisa Tovar, as well as 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Francisco Rios, brother Juan Rios, wife Maria Guadalupe Rios and granddaughter Isabel Rose Rios. Antonio was born to Francisco Rios and Maria Luisa Murillo on January 29, 1956 in Guanajuato, Mexico where he also met and married his childhood sweetheart Maria Guadalupe Rios in 1979. After moving to Texas, he began working for the City of Greenville in 1981, retiring from the Water Department after 35 years of dedicated service. During that time the couple welcomed 5 children into their home, where they set about to teach them the value of honesty and a good work ethic. His children remember him as a kind, loving and generous father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Antonio possessed many skills, including, but not limited to being an accomplished handyman. He was a genuine individual who loved his family deeply and was passionate about spreading love, kindness and laughter with everyone he met. He was an active and devoted member of the Iglesia Nueva Vida and Iglesia Christiana Ebenezer. A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, with a funeral to follow on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 10:00AM at Lynch Funeral Services, 4238 State Highway 34 South, Greenville, TX 75402. Pastor Carlos Mendoza will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Antonio's life with the family.
