Billie Jean King Tuttle, age 88, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, in Rockwall, Texas. She was born on July 6, 1938, in Grand Saline, Texas. Billie lived life on her own terms—with confidence, grace, and an unmistakable sense of style. A strong, independent woman with a determined spirit, she approached every chapter of her life with resilience and purpose. Professionally, she enjoyed a successful career in banking and later with the American Heart Association, earning the respect of colleagues through her dedication, knowledge, and leadership. Beyond her career, Billie was deeply involved in her community through the Rockwall County Republican Party, where she devoted her time and energy to causes she believed in. She was also a faithful and active member of First Presbyterian Church of Rockwall for more than 50 years, where her steadfast faith and dedication were evident throughout her life. Billie had a creative eye and a deep appreciation for architecture and interior design, finding joy in beautiful spaces and timeless elegance. She was always impeccably put together, known for her classy style, fashionable wardrobe, and enviable collection of shoes. Her eclectic taste and keen sense of fashion reflected her vibrant personality, while her grace, confidence, and individuality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Those who knew Billie will remember she loved to entertain using her style and her creativity to ensure that friends and family who came to visit were always welcome. She is lovingly survived by her son, David Tuttle and his wife, Carolyn, of Rockwall; her grandson, Ryan Tuttle; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will cherish her memory. Billie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leon Tuttle, her nine brothers and sisters, and her parents. A graveside service honoring Billie's life will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in Rockwall, TX on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Billie's legacy of strength, elegance, and unwavering independence will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
