Billy Dale Petty 73, of Josephine passed away on October 8, 2021. He was born in Josephine, Texas to Billy and Ivy (Hill) Petty on July 10, 1948. Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served in Vietnam, received many honors, and completed his military career with retirement. In addition, he worked as a truck driver and relished the time he spent on the open road. He thoroughly loved to travel, hunt, and fish. He was a Christian, and a member of First Baptist Church of Josephine. He leaves lasting and wonderful memories for his family and friends. Billy is survived by children, Warren Colle Petty, Brittany Petty Barcheers, Vanessa Petty McKinney; sisters, Joan Hooper, Barbara Cantrell; along with a host of loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
