Brian Keith Melton passed away on June 16, 2026, at the age of 47. He was born on February 20, 1979, in Greenville, Texas, to Roger Glenn Melton and Theresa Ann Posey. He spent much of his life working as an electrician, where his natural talents earned the respect of everyone who knew him. Brian possessed an intelligence that could not be measured by a classroom. Family and friends often remarked that he could put his mind to anything and accomplish it. Whether it was building, repairing, troubleshooting, or finding a solution to a difficult problem, Brian seemed able to do it all. Brian had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed listening to a wide variety of genres. His favorites included rap, R&B, and country music, and there was rarely a time when music was not playing somewhere nearby. More than anything, Brian will be remembered for his resourcefulness, his sharp mind, and the countless ways he helped those around him. He leaves behind many cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who loved him. Brian is survived by his brother, Roger Melton and wife Christy; his nieces and nephews, Cody Melton and fiancée Brianna Miller, Caylee Melton and significant other Taylor Blackerby, Kory Melton, and Cyann Hooe; his great-niece, Logan "Sissy" Bjornlie; his great-nephew, Jayce Gallardo; and a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Glenn Melton and Theresa Ann Posey, as well as several beloved aunts and uncles. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, Texas.
