Obituary

Carolyn Ann Reeves, age 63, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, surrounded by the love and presence of her family. Carolyn was born on January 10, 1962, in Garland, Texas, to Willard Littlefield and Minnie Louellen. A woman of boundless energy and a "happy-go-lucky" spirit, she was known for her outgoing personality and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. She dedicated many years of her professional life to the Caddo Mills Independent School District. Even after her retirement, her legacy lived on through the countless school children she cared for so deeply. To Carolyn, the students weren't just pupils; they were a central part of her community and her heart. Outside of her work, Carolyn was a woman of many talents. She was a gifted artist who could draw beautifully by hand and was rarely seen without a new project in progress. Whether she was making intricate jewelry or using plaster of Paris to create something unique, her creativity knew no bounds. An avid reader, she was never without a book, finding adventure and peace in the pages she turned. Above all, Carolyn's greatest passion was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and sister, but she perhaps found her greatest joy in being a grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, leaving them with memories of a woman who loved them unconditionally. Carolyn is survived by her devoted husband, Joe Reeves; her children, Edward "James" Armstrong and wife Cortney, Brandy Stow and husband Harold, Tammy Fisher and husband Brandon, David Armstrong, and Katrice Nevarez and husband Stephen. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Jakob Deuson, Hunter Deuson, Hannah Armstrong, Karliann Armstrong, Sophie Deuson, Trinity Armstrong, Colton Stow, and Phoenix Nevarez. Her memory will be cherished by her brothers, Ed, Billy, Charles, and Jerry Littlefield; and her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Lonnie Mead (Beverly), Angie Armstrong, Jonnye Harris, Janice Armstrong, Sandra Anderson (Leon), Jerry Ann Howard, and Tony Reeves; along with a host of loving extended family members and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Minnie; her first husband, Eddie Armstrong; her brothers, Ricky and Clyde Littlefield; her sisters, Shirley Al-Aya and Nancy Bryant; and her brothers-in-law, Mike Armstrong and Billy Reeves.
