Celedonia R. Moreno "Salley" Celedonia passed away peacefully at Royse City Rehab Center in Royse City, TX on January 7, 2021 at the age of 79. She is survived by her children: Anna Rosales & husband Ernest of Duncanville, Sylvia Moreno of Amarillo, Lydia Zernick and Keith Curnutt of Caddo Mills, Jose Moreno, Jr. and wife Lynette of Venus, and Cynthia Bedford and husband Ken of Cleburne. Celedonia had 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers: Natividad Rodriguez, BC Rodriguez, Jr., Juan Rodriguez, Amado Rodriguez and her sisters: Trina Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez, Estella Auchter and Juanita Rodriguez. Celedonia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years Jose Moreno, Sr. and her beautiful daughter Margarita Moreno-Neimeyer. Celedonia was born on August 6, 1941 in Karnes City, TX to BC Rodriguez, Sr. and wife Estella. She graduated from Seagoville High School in 1961. Celedonia and Jose Moreno, Sr. were married on May 5, 1962. Over a period of time, the couple welcomed 6 children into their home. She then worked for Kmart for 10 years and went on to work as a Secretary at Printers Machinery in Fate, TX. That is where she retired due to her health. The Moreno's lived in Longview, TX for 8 years enjoying retirement. Celedonia enjoyed sewing and doing arts and crafts and antique shopping. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Her children will remember her as the strong and loving mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. The family of Celedonia would like to give Thanks and praise to the wonderful and caring staff at Royse City Rehab center.
