Christine "Christy" Ann Elder of Greenville, Texas, was born on December 15, 1950, to Robert and Mary (Persell) Martin. She passed away February 4, 2026. Christy dedicated her professional life to public service as a payroll clerk for the United States Navy. Beyond her career, she was deeply committed to her community, volunteering extensively at the DFW Legion, where she was well known for her active involvement and generous spirit. Above all, Christy was a loving mother and a cherished friend. She found joy in crocheting afghans, lovingly creating them for family and friends as tangible expressions of her care and kindness. Her warmth, generosity, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her son, Barry Ryan Bryson, Jr.; her grandson, Robert Dallas Bryson; her sister, Sally; her brother, Butch; and a host of loving friends who will forever hold her memory close. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary (Persell) Martin; her brother, Bobby Martin; and her beloved husband, Jack Elder. Ultimately, Christy will be inurned at DFW National Cemetery, being laid to rest next to her husband. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Christy's life will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026 in the Lynch Funeral Service Chapel, in Greenville, Texas.
