Claud "Ed" Edgar White

Claud "Ed" Edgar White, 86, of Caddo Mills, Texas, passed away on September 27, 2026.

Ed was born on June 9, 1940, in Caddo Mills to Lloyd and Alma (Thomason) White. A lifelong resident of Caddo Mills, Ed was a hardworking, tall country man who took pride in his work and enjoyed working in the dirt. He was self-employed and successfully owned and operated his backhoe business for 48 years, serving the people of Hunt County. Ed was well-liked, made many friends throughout his life, and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia "Ginger" White; sons, Calvin White and significant other Alicia of Cotulla, and Chris White and wife Misty of Caddo Mills; brother, Fred White and wife Kathie of Quinlan; grandchildren, Clay White and wife Ashley, Cayley Rioux and husband Matt, and Maddie White; four great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and his beloved cat, Punkin.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Alma White.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at LYNCH Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the chapel. Interment will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Caddo Mills.

Ed will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
