Davida Gayle Fielding, "Gayle", age 61, was born April 3, 1959 in Greenville, Texas. She was the daughter of Robert Leon Highsaw and Melba Sue (Nichols) Highsaw. She was the only daughter growing up with four brothers. She departed this life unexpectedly February 17, 2021 after suffering a massive heart attack. Gayle grew up in the Ladonia and Pecan Gap, Texas and attended Fannidel High School. She gave birth to her first daughter Chalanda Highsaw in 1975 and later lived in Greenville, Texas. She married Morton Dewayne Hayner in 1980. They had two children together Kristina and Chasity Hayner. They divorced thereafter and Gayle went on to graduate from a vocational school for business management. She later married Marty Herrod and they raised her three daughters together. Over the years, Gayle worked at Cadco in Garland, Texas. She and Marty moved the family to Seven Points, Texas. During this time, she ran a successful cleaning service in Cedar Creek Lake area. She built many great relationships and enjoyed putting smiles on peoples faces. After her divorce to Marty in 2006, she married Darren Fielding. Gayle was a wonderful caregiver and it truly showed when her mother passed in 2009. She resumed the duties of caring for her ailing father "Bob" Highsaw. She did so until his passing in 2012. Her and Darren then resided with her daughters intermittently and assisted with caring for her grandchildren. She was a proud grandmother of five. She loved spending time with them and her animals. Gayle was known for her green-thumb and loved gardening. She was a hard worker and not afraid to tackle tough projects including working on cars or building a home. In 2017, she and Darren moved back to Greenville, Texas to be near her brother Richard. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents Bob and Melba, brother Robert Dwayne Highsaw and Roger Dale Highsaw. Survivors include her husband Darren Fielding; daughter Chalanda Sherman and husband Landon Sherman; one granddaughter Cescilie Nicholson; daughter Kristina Hall and her husband James Hall; granddaughter Alexis Hall and grandsons Colton Hall and Trenton Hall; daughter Chasity Ahlqvist; one grandson Lawrence Ahlqvist; two brothers Steve McCloud and Richard Highsaw; and nephews Rayburn LeBlanc, Kenneth LeBlanc, Bobby McCloud and many great nieces and nephews. The family will be holding a memorial service on Thursday, February 25, 2021 @ 1:00pm at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel.
