Diane Elaine
Gateley
Jun 3, 1958 — Sep 20, 2026
Diana "Elaine" (Fulfer) Gateley, age 68, of Greenville, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026. She was born on June 3, 1958, in Dimmitt, Texas, to Jesse and Peggy (Wilkinson) Fulfer.
Elaine worked in accounting throughout her career and was a devoted member of Vansickle Baptist Church in Greenville, Texas. Her faith and her family were important parts of her life, but above all else, her family was her number one priority—especially the children she loved so dearly.
Elaine had a joyful spirit and a love for the things that made life special. She enjoyed collecting nutcrackers and loved everything about Christmas. She had a special place in her heart for her beloved schnauzers, Hanna, Finnigan, and Chance, as well as her cherished Goldendoodle, Waylon. Her love for animals extended beyond her own pets, as she was actively involved in schnauzer rescue efforts and dedicated her time to helping dogs in need.
Elaine also had a passion for photography, capturing the people, animals, and moments that meant so much to her. She had a generous heart, a deep love for her family and friends, and a way of making those around her feel cared for and loved.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 30 years, Kadell Gateley; stepchildren, Barney Gateley and Zeandra Gateley; siblings, Janet Dougherty and husband Mike, Denise Koleszar and husband Tim, and Kent Fulfer and wife Theresa; nieces and nephews, Kristan, Courtney, Madison, Rindy, Paxton, Wyatt, and Melody; great-nieces and great-nephews, Dakota, Bryson, Skyler, and Scarlett; along with a host of beloved friends who will cherish her memory.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Peggy (Wilkinson) Fulfer.
Elaine's love for her family, her compassion for animals, her joy for Christmas, and her beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.
