Donna Gay (Williams) Woodard 86 of Mesquite, Texas passed away on December 27, 2023 at her home. She was born on October 31, 1937 to Clarence Gay "C.G. 'Tuffy' and Helon (Johnson) Williams in Caddo Mills, Texas. Donna loved the Lord and had a compassionate heart for others. This was reflected in the way she lived her life. She and her husband Roy were faithful and active members of the St. Marks United Methodist Church in Mesquite, Texas. In addition, she was an active member of her community of Mesquite, Texas since the 1960s. She was active in the Mesquite Chamber, the Historical Mesquite Chamber, the Ladies Auxiliary Elks Lodge #2404, the organization of Presidents of the Auxiliary Ladies Elks Lodge #2404, the Jay Ceettes, and the American Cancer Society. Some of her titles include President of the Ladies Auxiliary Elks Lodge #2404 (2X), President of the Presidents of the Auxiliary Ladies Elks Lodge #2404 (3X), and Honorary Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary Elks Lodge #2404 in 2000. She even ran for Mesquite school board in 1978 and was secretary to Bill Gibson, State Hoop Shoot Chairman for over 10 years. Donna will be remembered for her shining and outgoing personality. She never met a stranger and was a genuine friend to everyone she met. Donna leaves lasting and wonderful memories for her family and friends. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Roy D. Woodard; two sons, Brett Woodard and wife Pam, Tony Woodard and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Lynsey Sargent and husband Luke, Cole Woodard and wife Carlee, Loryn Woodard and Phillip Klespis, Austin Woodard; great grandchildren, Landry Sargent, Livie Sargent, Wyatt Woodard, Shep Woodard, Huck Woodard; along with a host of loving relatives and friends far and wide. Donna was preceded in death by her parents C.G. 'Tuffy' and Helon (Johnson) Williams and sister, Ann Moore.
