Dorcas Hernandez Bennett 82 of Greenville passed away on March 23, 2021 in Greenville, Texas. She was born on July 10, 1938 in Brownsville, Texas to Silverio and Basilia (Sanchez) Hernandez. Dorcas was an Elementary School Teacher by trade. She genuinely loved and cared about children. She thoroughly enjoyed teaching them as well as playing and spending endless hours with them. Dorcas walked with the Lord and knew Him intimately. Prayer was a vital part of her life. She and her husband served as Missionaries, taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people in Canada, Mexico, and all over the United States. She leaves lasting and wonderful memories for her family and friends. Dorcas is survived by sons, Gabriel Gonzalez and Samuel Gonzalez; grandchildren, Moses David Gonzalez, Joshua Gabriel Gonzalez, and Erika Crystal Gonzalez Long; great grandson, Aaron Long; brothers, David Hernandez and Moises Hernandez; numerous nieces and nephews; along with a host of loving friends. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
