Dorothy Roper, 90, of Nevada, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023. She was born on April 4, 1933, to John and Rosie Elliot in Texarkana, Arkansas. Dorothy was a beloved wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother and was known as "Nanny". She was a caregiver to all and took care of many through the years. She is survived by her sons: Robbie Roper and wife Diane of Quinlan, Billy Joe Roper and wife Melinda of Greenville; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and 3 nieces. Dorothy was preceded in death by husband, Clifton "Bub" Roper; 4 Brothers; and 3 sisters. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 23, at 11am, at LYNCH Funeral Home chapel, Located at 2203 Gilmer St, Caddo Mills, TX 75135. There will be a visitation an hour before the service. An Interment will follow the service at I00F Cemetery in Caddo Mills where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Bub.
