Dorris Farris, 93, passed away at home Saturday, October 10, 2026 in Royse City, Tx. She was born on April 26, 1933 in Brashear, Tx to the late Frank and Stella (Brown) Rollins. Dorris was preceded in death by her husband, Dinsel Farris; 9 siblings including Katie, Gerry, and Joe; great grandson, Tyler.

She is survived by her sisters, Wanita and Dollie; children, JP Brock, Lindel Farris, Denise Kafka, and Sharon Ray; grandchildren, Patrick, Casi, Josh, Katie, Whitney, Christopher, Stacey, and David; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.

Dorris was an accomplished seamstress and could sew anything. She loved to travel and loved to read and loved an underdog. She had a quirky sense of humor and cracked inappropriate jokes at the best time. She treated everyone kindly, and was admired by multiple generations of friends and family, who all called her Mamaw. Her heart failed her in the end, but her spirit did not.
