Obituary

Elma Crocker, 89, passed away on March 30, 2026. She was born on September 28, 1936, to Frank and Dora Cordell in Kerens, Texas. Elma, also known as Granny, was deeply loved by all who knew her. She touched the lives of many as she spent her years working in food service for Richardson ISD and being a devoted and caring mother, wife, friend, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Garland for 30 years before she moved to Vansickle Baptist Church where she continued to shine a light for all who crossed her path. Elma loved many people, places, and things, but there was a special place in her heart for interests like the Dallas Cowboys, bingo, and baking. She loved the color red, RVing, card games, dominos, and cooking, making her famous coconut cream pies. Most of all Elma loved her grandkids and the family she built over the course of her life. She is survived by her daughters; Denise McBride and husband Mike, Deanna Williams and husband Todd; her grandchildren: Tanner McBride and wife Melissa, Stone Stinebaugh, Lexie Stinebaugh, and Stockton Stinebaugh; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and beloved friends. Elma was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Dora Cordell, her beloved husband William Owen of 62 years, her siblings: Francis, Milton, and Jerry; and great-nephew Cord Reynolds.
