Elva Grace Segler died peacefully on January 13th, 2021 at Legend Healthcare in Greenville TX at the age of 91. Grace is survived by her daughters; Elva Kathleen Treadway, her husband Gary of Ontario California, her second daughter Becky Romig of Colorado Springs Colorado, and her third daughter Terri Stapp and her husband Craig of Greenville. She was blessed with grandchildren, greats, and great grands. Grace is preceded in death by her husband Charles Segler, her parents, William and Evie Hickman, her brothers; Dan, Merle, Kenneth, and her sister Betty. Grace was born on February 20, 1929 in Dundee Texas. She lived at Lake Diversion with her family while her father worked for the Lake services. She married Charles in 1948 and lived in California while Charles served in the United States Navy for 4 years. Charles and Grace welcomed their daughters into the world and diligently taught them to love the Lord. She raised her girls in California. In 1969 they moved to Phoenix Arizona where they worked with SunnyDale Children's Home as house parents for young children. Grace worked as a house mom and provided love and care for the children. She also worked with Hacienda De Los Angeles, a local home providing care for children with severe physical ailments. In her later years she enjoyed her grandchildren and keeping a spotless home. If you came to her home to visit, no matter how long you stayed, she would always want to know 'what's your hurry?' as you readied to leave. She and her husband moved from Arizona to Greenville in 2014 to live with her daughter and son in law, Terri and Craig. She loved to walk and was known for her 3 mile a day stroll. We miss you Gracie, Mom, Nana, GiGi, and look forward to walking alongside you in heaven. The family will have a small viewing from 10am to 11am on Sunday, January 17th, 2021 at Lynch Funeral Service.
