Ervin Ray (Nick) Watson, 89, of Dallas, TX, passed away on February 04, 2023. Nick was born on October 22, 1933 in Dallas, Texas to Homer Charles Watson and Allie Mae Hudson. After graduating High School, Nick attended Barber School and began a career as a barber upon graduation. Nick married Betty Lee Johnson in 1954 and they were married for 35 years, raising five children: Laurie, Michael (Moose), Marty, Tom, and Tim (Temo). Know by many as "Nick the Barber", Nick was "THE Barber" at the southeast corner of Harry Hines Blvd. and Lombardy Lane in Dallas for around 35 years. He cut the hair of people from all walks of life, including many Principals in the schools that his kids attended. He was a member in good standing, of the Masonic Lodge for (50) years. Nick loved being outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing with friends and family for catfish, crappie, sand bass, gar, drum, carp or anything else that might be biting at the time. His love of fishing was shared and passed on to his sons. Nick is survived by his daughter, Laurie Watson; sons: Moose, Marty and Tom Watson; grandchildren: Jacob, Kara, Cole, Kassidy Watson, Quincy Cooper and her husband Luke Cooper; great grandchildren: Spencer and Zander Cooper; and sister, Vernell and husband Fred Smith. He is preceded in death by his parent: Homer and Allie Watson; son, Tim (Temo) Watson; and brother, Marvin (Sam) Watson. Direct Cremation Saturday, February 4, 2023
