Erwin Hugh Daugherty passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the age of 90 in Greenville, Texas. He was born January 21, 1931 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Laurens M. and Leo Mathis Daugherty. He graduated from North Texas State University where he met Mary Elizabeth Brown, and while he served in the U.S. Army, she became his wife. They raised five children.

At the age of 37, he moved to Ohio and then later Indiana. Where ever he lived Erwin was an active member of the Church of Christ teaching and leading church music. After retiring from truck driving, he worked for Walmart until the day he died. Erwin loved being with people and knew no strangers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Beth; daughter, Sarah Kay; and son, Carl. He is survived by his wife, Beth Dickerson and daughters, Laura (John) Klejnot, Rebecca (Nick) Fowler and Lois Jane (Mike) Phillips, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Family will have a memorial service on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Creekside Church of Christ, 6113 Jack Finney Blvd., Greenville, Texas at 2:00 pm.
