Fay Nell Hawkins, 78, of Wolfe City, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025. Born on August 12, 1946, in Greenville, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of C.A. Tucker and Opal Loarine Waits Tucker. Fay was a proud and talented saddler who worked for Billy Cook Saddlery, where her skill and craftsmanship were deeply respected. She had a passion for the outdoors and found great joy in fishing and deer hunting. A devoted member of Hickory Creek Baptist Church in Wolfe City, she loved Jesus with all her heart and lived her faith daily. Known far and wide for her delicious cooking, Fay's chocolate rolls became a family legend. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and countless memories. Fay's love for her family was unwavering. She is survived by her children: Sherry Buck, Bobby Arnold, Marcie Duncan and her husband Keith, and her former son-in-law Douglas Buck. She was the proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Clyde Tucker, along with many nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Hershell Dean Hawkins; her sons, Clarence Ray Arnold and Donald Ray Arnold; grandson, Jeremy Buck; and siblings Merle Tucker, Charlie Tucker, Clarence Tucker, Peggy Lowery, and Geraldine Melton. Fay will be laid to rest at Dry Creek Cemetery in Quinlan, Texas. Her life was a beautiful example of strength, kindness, and faith, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
