Gary Don Turner, 68, of Greenville, Texas went to be with his heavenly Father on Monday August 29, 2022. He was born on May 18, 1954 to Charles and Thelma Turner in Abilene, Texas. Gary was united in marriage to Tina in March of 1988 and together they formed Urban Fire Protection on March 8, 1993. Urban Fire Protection will continue as the legacy he built. Gary is survived by his wife of 34 years Tina Turner; 3 daughters: Erin Oubre and husband Horatio, Alissa Rodgers, Kristen Saunders and husband Scott; 9 siblings: Larry and Lisa Turner, KayAnn and Skip Butler, Charlena and John Parr, Michelle and Keith Mungon, Dennis and Marge Cunningham, Marilyn Boughton, Alice and Wynn Mayo, Marshall and Lisa Cunningham, Debbie and Joey Oehlke; 7 grandchildren: Karys and Peyton Oubre, Logan and Luke Rodgers, Drew and Deacon Saunders and Avarie Valderas; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents: Thelma Turner, Charles and Bess Turner; and 3 brothers: Mick Turner, Farrin Cunningham and Darrell Cunningham. Gary was a loving husband, father, pappy, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a strong believer in Christ our Lord and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Greenville, Texas. Gary had a passion for LIFE. He loved spending time making memories with family and friends. His hobbies included playing guitar, hunting, fishing, and attending Dallas Stars games; however, his favorite was traveling to experience different cultures and cuisines. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to share. He never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on everyone. Gary had a very giving heart and always extended a helping hand to anyone in need. No amount of words can ever describe him in just a short paragraph.
