Gerald C Woodward, age 87, passed away on April 9, 2026. He was born on November 26, 1938, to Coleman Woodard and Ora Lee Nelson. Gerald was raised by Harve and Grace Nelson, who welcomed him into their home and loved him as their own. Gerald graduated at the top of his class from Richardson High School and continued his education at SMU, where he also earned his degree. He dedicated his professional career as an electrical engineer with Texas Instruments, where his skill and knowledge were highly valued. He had a natural talent for understanding how things worked and was known for being able to fix just about anything. In addition to his professional work, he also enjoyed auto and mechanical work. He is survived by his brother, Roy Woodard; his nephew, Brett Woodward and Pamela; Jim Thomas and Kathy; Tony Woodard and Sherry; Stan McWilliams and Patty; and his niece, Gail Erger and Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Pansy McWilliams and Rose Cantrell; his nephew, Steve McWilliams; and his bonus parents, Harve and Grace Nelson.
