Harold Butcher, age 76, passed away on November 1, 2026. He was born on August 9, 1950, in Wellington, Kansas, to Nolan and Neva (Barker) Butcher.
Known as a "Man of All Trades," Harold was a man who could fix, build, or figure out just about anything. His adventurous spirit was evident from a young age when he enjoyed driving hot rods and even took on the challenge of building an engine right in his bedroom. He had a natural talent for working with his hands and a curiosity that kept him busy with one project or another.
Harold also had a deep love for baseball. He played for the Dallas Men's Senior Baseball League and eventually went on to serve as the American League President. His passion for the game remained an important part of his life. He was also a devoted Texas Rangers fan and enjoyed cheering on his favorite team. Music was another love of his, especially classic rock from the 1960s and 1970s.
Whether on the baseball field, working on a project, enjoying good music, or spending time with those he loved, Harold lived life in his own way and created memories that will be treasured by those who knew him.
Harold is survived by his sons, Sean Butcher and Ben Butcher; grandchildren, Hailey, Nolan, and Grace "Gray"; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Venita Stotts, Don Butcher, and Vera Diller; numerous nieces and nephews; along with a host of extended family members and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Docie Butcher.
Harold will be remembered for his many talents, his love of classic rock, his passion for the Texas Rangers, and the lasting memories he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
