Haven Cheyenne Slocum, lovingly known as "B-Haven," 'BAven," and "Miss B-Haven" passed away on September 1, 2021. She was 19 years old. Haven was born November 16, 2001 to Joshua Aarron and Shannon Rae Shirey Slocum in Longview, Texas. Haven loved school and loved to learn. She was a student at Letourneau University in Longview where she worked in the Café and in the Engineering Department. Being an outgoing person and never meeting a stranger, Haven had a multitude of friends whom she loved spending time with. She had a heart for others. She spent her summers working in youthcamps. Haven leaves lasting and wonderful memories for her family and friends. Haven is survived by her mother, Shannon Slocum; step-father, Scott Borden; father, Josh Slocum; step-mother; Sandy Cerveny; fiancé, Jesse Rovell; siblings, Chase Cupp, Michaela Sturges, James Slocum, Phoenix, Tiggy; grandmother, Sherry Turner; beloved pets, Toby, Romeo, and Cass; along with a host of loving relatives and friends. A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville. A Funeral Service will be at 10:00 Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Vansickle Baptist Church located at 2181 County Road 2246 Greenville, Texas 75402. The family request everyone dress in costume or wear purple to celebrate Haven's life.
