Helen Ruth (Miller) Graves of Caddo Mills, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home on November 11th, 2023. She was born on December 12th, 1932, in Gordon, TX to Albert and Velma Miller. Helen was a loving wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother to three generations, a sister, and a friend to many. Helen was a faithful servant and steward of our Lord. She dedicated much of her time and resources to prayer, lending a helping hand, and volunteering to help those in need. She loved gardening and preparing a hearty lunch every Sunday to share with her with loved ones, gathered around her dining room table. She was the rock of her family. She had a very close relationship with the Lord and her family takes great comfort in knowing that she is now with Him in her heavenly home. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Graves who she shared many loving years with; her daughter, Judy Manning; her children's father, J.C. Nelson; and her five siblings; Grace, Elbert, Grady, Alfred (Jim), and Lilly. Helen is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Maxwell of Caddo Mills; daughter, Peggy Lee Woodson of Caddo Mills; son, Jimmy Nelson and wife Marsha of Caddo Mills; son, Richard Nelson of Caddo Mills; her step-son Joe Nelson; step-daughter, Linda (Nelson) Ursury; step-daughter, Cheryl Margarita and husband Bill; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be deeply missed, and her memories will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones. There will a family led celebration of life held at Faith Outreach (1501 Division St. Greenville, TX) on Saturday, December 16th, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
