Henry Donald Sanders, Jr., 72, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on August 18, 2025. Born on September 13, 1952, in Arcadia, Louisiana, he was the son of Henry Donald Sanders, Sr. and Judy Lou Wilson Sanders. Henry proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years before retiring. A devoted veteran, he was an active member of the American Legion and took great pride in his service and community. A proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Henry was also deeply involved in the Gold Prospectors of America, serving as President of the Northeast Texas Chapter. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting, fishing, metal detecting, and gold prospecting. He was known for his love of drag racing and time spent in the garage tinkering with his own projects. Henry shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sue. He is survived by Sue; his daughters Amy Casas and husband Jimmy, and Melissa Breiten and husband Toby; grandchildren Nicole Hamilton and husband Chance, and Nye Breiten; great-grandchildren Cooper Hamilton and Beau Hamilton; sisters Barbara Cameron and husband David, Kathy Ballard and husband Thomas, and Pam Hays; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sr. and Judy, and his brothers Paul Warren Sanders and Clifford Sanders. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, Texas. Henry will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his service to his country, and his deep devotion to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
