James Ray Brown was born in Dallas, Texas on April 15, 1954 to Doris and Albert Brown. In his early years he was an active member of First Baptist Church in Dallas, traveling the world with the church choir preforming. On August 9, 1974 he married his soulmate Karen Brown. They had three children, seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Jim loved spending time with his animals and his family. He collected records and enjoyed sharing his music with everyone. He built and ran his own drywall business for over 25 years. Jim was a member of New Life Family Fellowship in Caddo Mills, Texas. Jim Brown had his homecoming on June 27, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Karen Brown, his daughter Shannon Ross, his two sons James Jr. and Johnny Brown, his seven grandchildren, Sid, Aaron, Star, Haley, Jimmy Aly, and Dylan, and his loving sister, Jo Goodson. He is also survived by his two cats that he adored, Fallon and Mrs. Blue.
