James Byrdie Dodson, 64, of West Tawakoni passed away on September 7, 2021. He was born on May 6, 1957 in Okemah, Oklahoma. His parents are David and Peggy Gathercole. James, known as Papa loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching UFC, playing video games and spending time with family. He is survived by his son, Kelly Dodson; daughter, Jana Dodson; son, Jeremy Condra; grandchildren: Karter, Jaxson, Kinslee, Kaysyn, Adalyn, Christopher and Keegan; brother, David Reedy and wife Barbra; and sister, Tammy. James is preceded in death by his parents. There will be a memorial service at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville.
