Janice Marie
Jock
Feb 12, 1961 — Aug 11, 2026
Janice Milton, born on February 12, 1961, in Greenville, Texas, left this world peacefully on August 11, 2026, after a brave and lengthy battle with asthma. Janice was a beloved daughter to the late John B. Milton and Jackie Sue Stonecipher Milton, and a cherished sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Janice's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and kindness. She grew up in the close-knit community of Hunt County, where she graduated from Bland High School in 1980. Janice remained connected with all 15 of her classmates, cherishing those friendships throughout her life. In Mabank, Texas, she married the love of her life, Hubert Avery Jock, Jr., with whom she shared many beautiful years until his passing. A devoted mother and grandmother, Janice's children, John B. Milton and his wife Crystal Albanese, and Jeremy Milton and his wife Christina Wallace, were the pride of her life. Her grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, Aiden, Jordin, Jacklyn, Brooklyn, Taylor, Chloe, and Ally, brought her immeasurable joy, and she showered them with unconditional love. In addition to her immediate family, Janice is survived by her brother, Jacky Lynn Milton, sister-in-law Amanda Milton, nephew Anthony Milton, niece Lyndsey Milton, cousin and bonus child Mindy Doan, lifelong friend and bonus sister Jean Lorance, and a host of extended family and friends. Janice had a heart that knew no bounds. She welcomed everyone with open arms and made them feel like family. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of her delicious cooking. Known affectionately as "Big Bird" since childhood, Janice embraced her nickname with pride and a sense of humor that endeared her to many. Her quick wit and warm smile were her trademarks, and her kindness and generosity left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She enjoyed socializing, spending time with loved ones, and singing along to her favorite tunes, always bringing joy to those around her. Janice is predeceased by her husband, Hubert Jock Jr.; her parents, John B. Milton and Jackie Sue Milton; her granddaughter, Emma Gardner; her sister, Debra Milton; and her brothers, James B. Milton and Johnny Wayne Milton. Though they are no longer here, their memories live on in Janice's heart, and now they are joyously reunited. In remembrance of Janice, the family kindly suggests donations be made to help cover the cost of her final affairs. Those wishing to do so may contact Lynch Funeral Home directly. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hunt Regional Hospital for their compassionate care during such a difficult time. Janice's life was a testament to love and resilience, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and guide those she leaves behind.
