Jennie Buchanan Weatherly, 83, of Whitesboro passed away on March 11, 2024. She was born on October 16, 1940 in Nevada to Roy Malone and Georgia Lee Campbell. Jennie was a remarkable woman who enjoyed caring for others. She got her GED and Cosmetology license at the age of 50 and was working at the Van Alstyne Nursing Home when she retired. She is survived by her sons: Jimmy Buchanan and wife Kay, Tim Buchanan and wife Connie; daughter, Gwendolyn Bowling and husband Danny; grandchildren: Tim, Dan, Kevin, Darame, Keith, Joshua, Samantha, Ashley, Lisa, Brittney; sister, Alasca Edwards; 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Jennie is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Don Buchanan; 2nd husband, Bill Weatherly; daughter, Teresa Fleming; and brothers: William Campbell, Leroy Campbell; sisters: Kathryn Knight and Grace Olds. There will be a funeral service at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at LYNCH Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation 1 hour prior to service. Private interment will follow service at Nevada Cemetery.
