Kenna "Joan" LaFon McGehee, 84, of Royse City, Texas passed away on April 15, 2024. She was born on December 6, 1939 to Kenneth LaFon and Madelyn Cruise LaFon in Leila Lake, Texas. Joan loved her family and they were her first priority. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with family at any time possible. Joan was very active and had many interests, such as gardening, golfing, going to the lake, fishing, and traveling. She was also a fan of each and every one of the Dallas sports teams, especially the Dallas Cowboys. In addition, Joan will be remembered for her love of fashion and modern style, animals and all the pets she had throughout her life. Joan is survived by her children, Steve Underwood, Ken Underwood and wife Aissa, Annette Anderson and husband Scott, Shelly Coulter and husband Mike; step- children, Butch and Kathy; grandchildren, Jade, Krista, Josh, Joel, Emily, Amber, Austin, and Connor; twelve great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry LaFon and wife Doris, Jimmy LaFon and wife Diane, Jeff LaFon and Kitty; her many beloved pets; along with a host of loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, A.C.
