John Perry, Jr. ,83, of Greenville, Texas, formerly of Temple, Texas passed away December 2, 2022. He was born on January 25, 1939 to John Sr. and Margaret (McGuire) Perry in Chattanooga, Tennessee. John was a hardworking man. He spent his career working as a skilled Journeyman Plumber. John will be remembered for his love and passion for sports and for being a very talented athlete. Not only did he participate in and play sports, but he also coached many teams, and refereed and umpired many games throughout the years. Most of all John loved his family. He enjoyed quality time with his children and grandchildren, showing support in every way he could. John leaves lasting and wonderful memories for his family and friends. John is survived by his Daughter, Shana Burks and her husband Nathan, Sons; Stephen Perry, and John Randall "J.R." Perry and his fiancé, Cindy Schexnayider. Seven grandchildren; Paul Burks & wife Natalie, Jonathan Burks & wife Jenna, Rachael Burks & wife Kasey Haywood, Chase Perry, Evan Perry, Blake Perry and Kaysen Perry. Seven great grandchildren; Dillan Burks & fiancé Clarissa Thomas, Carrington Burks, Briley Burks, Lucas Green, Kylie Burks, Jace Burks and Corbin Burks, Brothers; Gentry Perry, Jerry Perry, Sisters; Barbara Morton & Mary Card, along with a host of loving relatives and friends. John is preceded in death by his parents, Brother William Perry, and Sister Sandra Mountain. The family will host a private memorial service at a later date.
