Joy Marie Kirby, age 66, passed away on February 20, 2025, in Greenville, Texas. Born on December 2, 1958, in Waco, Texas, Joy was the daughter of James Kirby and Joan Brodton. She spent her entire life in Greenville, where she was a devoted member of Family Fellowship Church. Joy was a vibrant soul who loved the Lord, and radiated positivity and joy wherever she went. With her grand disposition and infectious laughter, she was truly the star of her own world. Her love for the color purple was as bright and bold as her personality. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially traveling and spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories. Above all, Joy loved her family, especially her grandchildren and friends! She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Hicks and fiancé Jason Fournier, her grandchildren: Emily Conkel and husband Eli, Alyssa Cerbin, and Colton Schaeper; sisters: Darla Baker, Mary and Ashley Bryant, and a host of friends. Joy is preceded in death by her parents, James Kirby and Joan Brodton, and her brother, Jimmy Kirby. A memorial service will be held at Family Fellowship in Greenville, Texas, on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Family Fellowship Greenville. Joy's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
