Julius H. (Pat) Evans died peacefully at home on October 2 at the age of 86. Pat is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Peggy Evans of Greenville. – 1 daughter, Julie Evans Berens and husband Bob of Troy, Michigan - 2 sons, Scott Evans of Greenville, Tx. And Brandon Evans of McKinney, Texas – 1 sister Norma Jean Wiley of Kaufman, Texas. 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Ona Lee Bardin Evans of Kaufman – 2 brothers Earlan Evans of Kaufman and Doyle R. Evans of Rockwall. Pat was born April 29, 1935 in Kaufman to Johnny and Ona Lee Evans. As the son of a sharecropper, he grew up most of his life on a farm. He attended Forney High School, becoming the captain of the regional championship football team and where he met his future wife. After his college experience he became an engineer and eventually pursued being an entrepreneur. Pat had many businesses over the years, some of which provided him the opportunity to work all over the U.S. He even went to Australia for several years to set up a printing franchise organization for the country. Pat enjoyed many things, particularly traveling, dancing and golf. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville.
