Lavern Adams, 95, of Greenville passed away on March 19, 2024. She was born on December 8, 1928 in Greenville to Bill and Altha Morrison. Lavern was a vibrant woman, full of energy who some referred to as a firecracker. She was very resilient and overcame many obstacles, triumphing over any challenges that came her way. Lavern was always there to take care of her family. She took good care of both her husband and daughter during their illnesses. She is loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her sons: Charlie Adams and wife Janet of Greenville, David Adams and wife Diane of Quinlan; brothers: Derl Morrison, Douglas Morrison; grandchildren: Cherish Rodden and husband Brannon, Candice McCorkle and husband Charles, Erik Adams, Brandon Adams and wife Kelli, Shelly Adams, Hunter Adams, and 14 great-grandchildren. Lavern is preceded in death by her husband; Cecil Adams, her parents: Bill and Altha Morrison; daughter, Carolyn Sue Davidson; brothers: Elva Morrison, Fredrick Morrison, Walter Morrison, and Jerry Morrison. A Visitation will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 12:00 pm with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00pm. Interment will then be at Memoryland Memorial Park.
