Leroy "Lee" Leslie States, 82 of Caddo Mills, Texas passed away on September 26, 2023. He was born on November 2, 1940 to William Leslie and Ethel (Day) States in San Jose, California. Lee lived a well rounded life. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Coastguard. He enjoyed playing and watching golf. He was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan. He could be found watching old westerns on television. He was skilled at using his hands for working with leather and wood. Most of all he was a family man. He loved each family member and cherished time spent with each one, especially his grandchildren. Lee leaves lasting and wonderful memories for his family and friends. Lee is survived by his loving children, Brenda Butze and husband Lou, Rodney States and wife Mandy; grandchildren, Stephanie Burkhart and husband George, Chyanne Sweek and husband Brey, Charity States, Liberty States; great grandchildren, Bella Gallwey, George Burkhart 4th, Sophia Burkhart, Lilly Burkhart, Breylynn Sweek, Waylon Sweek, Harrison Shaw; sister, Susan Anderson and husband Terry; along with a host of loving relatives and friends. Lee is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Duane and a sister, Sharon There are no formal services being held at this time.
