Linda Gayle Howell passed away on January 13, 2026. She was born on May 18, 1947, to Berry Lee James and Howard Lee Pardue in Blodgett, Texas. A beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Gayle was also a proud business owner who owned Wee Wisdom Daycare from 1979 to 2018 and loved every child who passed through her doors. She had many hobbies as well, including but not limited to football and motorcycles. Linda is survived by her beloved dachshund Snoopy; her son Kenneth Howell and wife Karyn; daughter Jerri Lea Key and husband Robert; grandchildren: Kacey Howell, Ashlie Murphy and Ray, Riley Josey and Taylor, Shailynn Meyer, Jeremy McWilliams and Dawn, Jerry Don Kuhn, Colten Paris, Emily King and Joe, Shaina Key, and Keille Oelrich; great-grandchildren: Carly, Sarah, Kaden, Jacob, Bryce, Kip, Kendall, and Monte; brother Jack Pardue; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her parents: Berry Lee James and Howard Lee Pardue and step-father, E.Z. Casey; her loving husband Melvin Howell; and her dear sister Barbara Denise. Linda will be deeply missed by all who were blessed enough to know her and her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved. There will be no services held at this time.
