Linda Joyce Ritchey, 78, passed away on February 13, 2026. She was born on January 27, 1948, to Merle Roach and Euna Johnson. Linda dedicated many years of service as a clerk at the post office. Outside of work, she found great joy in the simple beauty of the outdoors. She loved tending to her garden, going fishing and spending quiet moments bird watching, appreciating the peace that nature brought her. Above all else, Linda's greatest love was her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every opportunity to gather everyone together. Whether around the table playing board games, sharing stories, or simply enjoying one another's company, those moments meant the most to her. She created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and lasting memories. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Ritchey; Joyce Barrett and Kelly; and Rita Borders. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Grace Ponto and Zach; Sarah Jethro and Paul; Nathaniel Carista and Amanda; Molly Green and Calvin; Dallas DeGarso; Jeffery Borders and Rachel; Jessica DeGarso; Zachary Borders and Samantha; and Lilly Barrett; as well as eight cherished great-grandchildren. Linda is also survived by her siblings, Richard Roach; Betty Wright; Barbara Almon and Billy; and Joanie Hudson, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Ritchey; and her siblings, Patricia Gambrell, Eddie Roach, Carl Roach, Carolyn Smith, Lucy Perilloux, Stephen Roach, Ann Fite, Kathy Harville, and Robert Roach. Visitation will be held on February 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, followed by her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately afterward at East Mount Cemetery in Greenville.
