Margaret Marie Thompson, 85 of Greenville passed away on October 26, 2020 at Medical City Plano, as a result of a massive stroke. She was the second born of twins, born on July 3, 1935 in Sulphur Bluff, TX to Willie and Bessie Mauldin Brown. Marie married Howard "Buddy" Thompson on July 1, 1953. Born to this union was Judy Kay in 1954 and two years later in 1957 came Jody Ray. She was a member of North Baptist Church/River Oaks Baptist in Greenville. Marie enjoyed lunch with her What-A-Burger friends after church on Sundays. She was a devoted employee of Lance Inc. for 17 years until the closure of the plant. She spent many happy hours working in her yard making it a place of beauty. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and neighbors. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Kay Bedison and husband Jerry of Amarillo, daughter-in-law, Bonnie Kay Thompson of West Virginia, sisters, Neva Adcock Wesson of Point, Wanda Mercer of Sulphur Springs, eight grandchildren, many great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2008, son in 2014, and twin brother in 2008.
