Marjorie "Jane" Brannum, 78, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on January 16, 2026. Born on April 30, 1947, in Coppell, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Edgar Jenkins and Annie Bell Jenkins (Tyson). Jane was family-oriented to her very core. Her greatest joy and deepest passion in life was her role as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and devoted wife to her husband of 63 years. She dedicated herself entirely to her loved ones, finding her greatest fulfillment in the bond she shared with her children and the generations that followed. She was the heart of the home, especially during the holidays. Jane loved nothing more than having a full house for Thanksgiving and Christmas, where she could express her love through her cooking. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she took every opportunity to spoil them with the kind of affection only a grandmother can provide. When she wasn't with her family, Jane found peace in nature. She had a wonderful green thumb and spent much of her time "flowering" her plants and carefully tending to her beautiful hanging baskets. After her children were grown, Jane began a career with Vistawall (now Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope). She was a dedicated employee, manufacturing architectural products until her eventual retirement. She is survived by her husband, Merley Brannum; her daughters, Deborah Brannum and Deanna Whitwell (David); five grandchildren: Jessica McCoy (ExXavier), Jaime Hernandez (Patrick), Colton Koopman, Aaron, and Abby Burton; and five great-grandchildren: Jayda, J.J., Jaxon, and JoJo Tucker, and Payden Koopman. Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ernest DeWayne; her brothers, William, Buster, and Marvin Jenkins; and her sisters, Joyce Jarrell and Connie Willmon. .
