Mary Ann Blankenship, 72, went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 24, 2023. Mary was born on March 21, 1951, to Mattie Samples and Matthew Gregory in Hunt County, Texas. Mary was known for her love of collecting. She would frequent garage sales and thrift stores, but most of all loved using her metal detector to find coins and other kinds of antique money. Mary also loved to take trips to the casino and pick up scratch off tickets. Mary is survived by her husband, Bill Blankenship; children: Jimmy Rogers, Bradley Blankenship, and William Blankenship; grandchildren: Joshua Rogers, Zachary Lindsey-Blankenship, and Roslyn Williams; siblings: Joe Gregory, Sammy Gregory, Dorothy Isham, Patty Dotson, and Paul Gregory. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Elderidge; brother, Harold Gregory; sister, Linda Rosenbalm; and beloved dog, Scooter. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, starting at 1:00 PM at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville, Texas. Greg White will be leading the service.
