Mary "Nene Mary" Summers, 92, of Royse City, TX passed away on September 28,2022. She was born in Celeste, TX on December 31,1929, daughter of the late Loid and Ana V Turney. She was one of 5 children. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, James Ripley Summers of 66 years; she is survived by sons, Russell Summers and wife Cheryl of Royse City, Tony Summers and wife Debbie of Lone Oak; grandchildren, Michael Summers and wife Heather, Jana Everett and husband Brian, Daniel Summers and wife Ashley, and Zachary Summers; and 6 great grandchildren Breanne, Haley, Tyler, Kendall, Andrew, and Matthew James. Mary worked for over thirty years at Citizen State Bank in Royse City. After retirement, James and Mary traveled the United States in their RV enjoying time with friends, old and new, and their grandchildren. Nene Mary loved to take her grandchildren along on adventures across the country and taught them to love traveling. Visitation will be held at Fellowship Church of Royse City on Monday, October 3 at 9 am with the service immediately following at 10 am.
