Mary Esther Young, 84, of Caddo Mills, went to be with her Heavenly Father on the morning of February 26, 2024. Mary was born on September 17, 1939, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Molly and Herbert Patrick. Mary was a hard worker and retired from Wal-Mart after many years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, reading, and putting puzzles together. Mary also had a passion for sea turtles. Above all else, Mary loved the time she got to spend with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mary is survived by her daughter, Brenda Brenchley; 19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters: Patsy Neislar, Lorene Rule; and precious chihuahua, Angel. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; a brother; her husband, Ottis Ray Young; 3 sons: Kenneth Ray Young, Darrell Wade Young, Roy Lee Young; 2 daughters: Barbara Williams, Linda Hill; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 29, at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville. A visitation will take place the evening prior on Wednesday, February 28, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, also at Lynch Funeral Service. Mary will be laid to rest at Lone Star Cemetery in Point, Texas.
