Michael David Johnson, 66, of Lone Oak, Texas, passed peacefully at home on July 8, 2023. Michael was born on October 2, 1956, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Samuel and Doris (Betts) Johnson. Michael lived a well-rounded life. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. He was a contributing member of the Disabled American Veterans Association (a charity supporting disabled American veterans.) He enjoyed his life time career as a truck driver. He was a Fireman with the Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department. And in his free time, he enjoyed his favorite pastime of being outdoors going hunting! Michael leaves lasting and wonderful memories for his family and friends. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Loyce "Gail" Johnson; daughters, Katie Jones and husband Shane, Danita Low and husband Michel; son, Mike "Bubba" Johnson and wife Melissa; brothers, Kevin Johnson, Jeff Johnson; sisters, Terry Crissen, Cynthia Ray; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; along with a host of loving relatives and friends. Michael is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Brenda Jennifer, Rebecca; brother, Charles. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Brashear Baptist Church . A visitation will begin an hour prior at 1pm.
