Michael Krodel, 58, passed away on July 6, 2026, following an extraordinary four-year battle with metastatic soft tissue sarcoma. Michael was born on November 26, 1967, in Dallas, Texas, to Johanna Sponheimer and Bill Krodel. Throughout his life, Michael was known for his quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to his family. He lived with humility, worked hard, and found purpose in caring for those he loved. When he was diagnosed with cancer, Michael approached his journey with extraordinary courage. Over the course of four years, he continued working and embracing life for as long as he was able, determined to provide for his family and make every day count. His resilience inspired everyone who walked beside him, and many remarked they had never witnessed someone fight with such strength, hope, and unwavering resolve. Above all, Michael's greatest joy was his family. He cherished every moment spent with those he loved and expressed that love not only through words, but through his steadfast presence, loyalty, and quiet acts of kindness. He will be remembered for his resilience, gentle sense of humor, unwavering devotion, and the strength with which he faced life's greatest challenges. His courage and enduring spirit left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Eleni Krodel; his mother, Johanna Krodel; his sister, Alexandra (Paul) Boudreau; his brother, Marcus (Amy) Krodel; a host of nieces and nephews, many beloved extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his son, Konlan Krodel; and his nephew, Harrison Krodel; his father, Bill Krodel; and his in-laws Sandy and Gus Kaperonis.
