Michael Stephen Parker, known to family and friends as "Mike," passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on July 15, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, to Robert and Marian (Gregory) Parker. Mike had an avid interest in computers, politics, astronomy, sports, Dinty Moore beef stew, and science fiction, and his love for these subjects never waned. He was always eager to learn more and engage in thoughtful discussions about the latest advancements in science and technology. Mike's enthusiasm for these topics made him a cherished member of his community, where his intellect and curiosity were always on display. Mike is survived by his children: Nicole Joyce and her husband Cody, and Michael Parker II; his stepchildren: Sheila Griffith and her husband John, and Jimmy Wade and his wife Carol; and his grandchildren: Mackenzie Landry, Jacie Joyce, Blaine Joyce, and Kyra Parker. He is also survived by his step-grandchildren: Amanda White and her husband Damon, Michael Boger, and Jason Shoaff; as well as his step-great-grandchildren: Lexie White and Kaedynce White. Additionally, Mike is survived by his loving sisters: Shirley Lopez and Dianna Roebuck and her husband James, along with a host of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marian (Gregory) Parker; his wife, Nancy Parker; and his sisters: Vicky Davis and Linda Murphy. Mike will be remembered for his kind heart, his stubbornness, his intellectual curiosity, and his love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of knowledge and a passion for discovery that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
