Nelda Rose (Lafferty) Rhyne, 90 of Tyler, TX passed away on October 25, 2020. She was born on December 21, 1929 to Robert Henry and Ruby Lee (Mobley) Lafferty in Brownwood, TX. Nelda will be remembered for many things. As a young woman she and her brothers formed a gospel trio. Being a gifted musician, she sang and played the accordion. The trio was even featured on the radio many times. Nelda worked many jobs during her life including being an Industrial Engineer for Henson Kickernick in Greenville, and working as a secretary for a Methodist Church. Most important in her life was her family. She loved them dearly and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible. A favorite was going camping with her grandchildren. They especially enjoyed going to Atlanta State Park. Nelda is survived by her children, Laura Dougan and husband Leon, and Scott Rhyne and wife Diedra; grandchildren, Stephanie Spillman,Thomas Spillman, Leigh Ann Reinholtz, Kelly Reinholtz, Nathan Rhyne, Megan Rhyne, Johnny Dougan, Dillon McNatt, Matthew McNatt, Sierra McNatt, Brennan Rhyne; great grandchildren, Kayleah Wemitt, Logan Rhyne, Lanie Rhyne, and soon to be born, Alayna McNatt; numerous nieces and nephews; along with a host of loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband John Rhyne, brothers, Kenneth Lafferty, and Bob Lafferty. A Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville, TX. A Graveside Service will follow on the same day at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville, TX.
