Paul Windle Humphries 90, of Greenville, TX passed away on April 26, 2022. He was born on February 6, 1932 to James Thomas and Ida Avis Thompson Humphries in Levelland, Texas. He married the love of his life, Sandra Jean Wheeler on September 18, 1957. They were married for 64 wonderful years before she passed away in 2021. Paul proudly served his country in the US Navy, being stationed on the island of Guam during the Korean War. He was a dedicated Fireman for the city of Lubbock for many years. Upon his retirement, he moved to the Greenville area so that he could spend time enjoying his passion of being on the lake and fishing. He will be remembered for being a cool dad. He always had a jigsaw puzzle on the table. He loved to drink a beer and would offer to make you a "Big Orange." Paul leaves lasting and wonderful memories for his family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Patti Higgins and husband Doug; granddaughter, Melissa Guerra; along with a host of loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Paula.
