Peggy Lou (Rowan) Lucas 83 of Wills Point, Texas passed away on April 5, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 23, 1939 to Marion Mark and Grace Augusta (Fletcher) Rowan in Hunt County, Texas Peggy loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Tawakoni Bible Church in Quinlan, Texas. She and husband Calvin traveled to many places and states going to Gospel Singings, which they thoroughly enjoyed. She loved to go to thrift stores. She had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party everywhere she went. She will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile. Most of all Peggy loved and cherished her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, especially her grandchildren. Peggy leaves lasting and wonderful memories for her family and friends. Peggy is survived by her adoring husband of 66 years, Crit Calvin Lucas, Sr.; grandchildren, Calli Neyra and husband Robert, Abby Griffin and husband Nathan, Katie Matkin and husband Andrew; great grandchildren, Riley Neyra, Caleb Neyra, Addie Jean Griffin, Landon Pickens, Ryan Pickens, Hudson Pickens; nieces, Pamela Jolene Skaggs, Marion Christakis; along with a host of loving relatives and a multitude of friends. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; son, Crit Calvin Lucas, Jr.; brothers, Mark Rowan, Rodney Rowan; sisters, Dorothy Nix, Dimple Rivers, Ola Norris. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 in the Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, Texas. A visitation will begin one hour prior, at 12:30pm. Interment will follow at 3:30pm at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
