Phyllis Kaye Ply, 80, passed away February 16, 2026, in Commerce, Texas, surrounded by family. She was born May 28, 1945, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Phil and Betty Cluck. She graduated from Midwest City High School, Class of 1963, and then graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where she remained a lifelong and devoted "Boomer Sooner" fan. Phyllis built a career serving others through Texas Health and Human Services. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, traveling in her RV, and gathering with friends for good conversation and a happy hour. She was preceded in death by her father, Phil Cluck, and her brother, Tim Cluck. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Wilburn Ply; her mother, Betty Cluck; her children Shelly Reed (Mike); Bryan Ply (Melinda) her grandchildren Misty Smith (Justin), Macie Reed, Dillon Reed, Corbin Morgan (Joe), Sydney Taylor (Tony), and Trevor Reed; and great-grandchildren Ayden, Anna, Miles, and Holden. The family extends their sincere gratitude to Family First Home Health and Hospice and their compassionate staff for the care and support shown during this time. She will be remembered for her spirited loyalty and devotion to her family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
